STEP 11 – CASSIA ESSENTIAL OIL

Cinnamon Essential Oil is well known for its metabolic and immune benefits, but have you heard of its sister oil, CASSIA?

Like Cinnamon, CASSIA Essential Oil is sourced from the bark of its tree and is popular in cooking. Another similarity is that both oils are considered “hot” oils, more prone to irritating skin than other Essential Oils, so you should always take care to dilute CASSIA Essential Oil with Fractionated Coconut Oil prior to topical application.

Both have warm, spicy aromas, but CASSIA Essential Oil is thicker than Cinnamon Oil. CASSIA can be used to replace Cinnamon in baking.

CASSIA Essential Oil has a warm, spicy, cinnamon aroma. It adds a spicy twist to citrus blends, also blending well with other wood oils. It is an exciting and uplifting oil, so you can diffuse it in the bedroom to promote feelings of arousal.

PRACTICAL USES

• Diffuse to create an uplifting atmosphere and support emotional well-being.

• Take one to two drops in a veggie capsule for extra immune, metabolic, and cardiovascular support.*

• Add one drop to your favorite warming massage blend.

• Makes a great addition to DIY exfoliating sugar scrubs.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

AROMATIC USE: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

INTERNAL USE: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
TOPICAL USE: Dilute one to two drops with Fractionated Coconut Oil then apply to desired area.

CAUTION

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.

*Due to its caustic nature, Cassia should be diluted with Fractionated Coconut Oil when applied to the skin and can be very strong when inhaled directly.*

INSPIRING DIFFUSER BLEND RECIPE

• 2 drops CASSIA Essential Oil

• 2 drops Siberian Fir Essential Oil

• 3–4 drops Citrus Essential Oil of your choice
