STEP 16 – MELISSA ESSENTIAL OIL

broken image

MELISSA Essential Oil is also known as “lemon balm” because it has a sweet, lemony aroma.

It is one of the most expensive oils out there because it is also one of the rarest. In fact, it takes 66 pounds of plant material to produce just one 5ml bottle of MELISSA Essential Oil.

Many of the components of this oil have strong soothing properties, which makes it helpful in times of stress and tension. Its calming effect on nerves is probably the reason it’s found in both the Joyful and Encouraging Blends. MELISSA Essential Oil is also good for the skin and can be rejuvenating when added to your skin care regimes.

Internally, MELISSA Essential Oil can support the immune system* and makes a great addition to teas, desserts, and fish dishes.

MELISSA Essential Oil has a citrus and herbaceous scent.

PRACTICAL USES

• Put one drop in your beverage or directly under your tongue to help support the body’s immune system.*

• Add to your favorite sleepy time diffuser blend to help promote a restful night’s sleep.

• Add to moisturizer or a spray bottle with water and spritz on face to rejuvenate skin and refresh the mind.

• Lessen workplace stress by diffusing or applying topically before an important presentation or after a rough day.
